CONRATULATIONS to the following students who were recognized at the Long Beach Council PTA level of the 2019 Reflections Art Program.

*Students who received 1st Place will be moving on to the next level and their art pieces will compete against other students' entries at the 33rd District PTA level.

Spirit Wear Co-Chair Wanted!


PTA is looking for a volunteer to help head up Spirit Wear! Responsibilities would include fulfilling orders, managing inventory, and assisting with new designs and products. MLK Day - No School

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is on Monday, January 20 and is a national holiday in his honor.

Special Flag Ceremony - Jan. 24

Come out for a special Flag Ceremony on Friday, January 24 at 8:00 am to honor our wonderful plant manager, Dave Guria, who is retiring. He will be recognized for 10 years of dedicated work and love to Longfellow. Make sure to join us!

Meet the Masters Docent Training - Feb. 5

Please note the training will be in Room 2101 (Mrs. Baldoni's classroom - across from the office).

Meet the Masters docent workshops for the second artist of the school year, Pablo Picasso, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5 at 2:20 pm in Room 2101, Mrs. Baldoni's 5th grade classroom. Volunteer docents are needed to teach the art lesson to each class. Consider signing up for your child's class - no experience needed, but current VIP status required. Attendance at the training is not required to be a docent.

*If you are interested and unable to attend the training, you can request the teaching materials to review yourself or make arrangements to observe another docent teaching.
