Has your child come home talking about joining the Green Team at Longfellow? All grade levels participated in a Green Team assembly where students were taught about the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! They also learned about the 3 activities Longfellow PTA is focusing on to help Longfellow be green: 1) walking to school on Wednesdays; 2) packing a zero-trash lunch; and 3) bringing plastic bottles and aluminum cans for Friday recycling. 

Students can pick up a Green Team raffle sheet in the office to log their participation. Activities can be verified and signed off by ANY adult. Complete raffle sheets can be turned in to teachers, to the PTA mailbox in the office, or the Green Team box (hanging on the PTA door in the cafeteria). Three winners will be selected and announced each month at the flag ceremony. Winners will get to choose a prize that promote a green lifestyle: Thermoflask water bottle, Green Team t-shirt, bamboo utensil set, reusable lunch bag, and more!
