Due to the rain in tomorrow's forecast, the Jogathon will unfortunately not be able to continue as planned. The good news is the Jogathon Committee has worked with teachers to come up with a fun alternative - an in-class Fit Challenge! Many factors were taken into consideration, including the deadline for pledges and the timeline for prizes. We were sad to have to make the change as we know both students and our Longfellow community look forward to the Jogathon every year with excitement.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in this new Fit Challenge with their classmates! They will be guided through a variety of exercises with music pumping and a timer to see how long they can last. Instead of counting laps, students' "fit" time will be recorded. Just like the Jogathon, students will have some fun while getting in physical activity!
Thank you to all of our community members who had signed up to volunteer. The Jogathon Committee has streamlined the Fit Challenge to facilitate all classes and with newly released LBUSD guidelines and restrictions, this will be a closed campus event and additional help is no longer needed.
